Tourist locations include:

Silk Street, Ya Show, Hong Qiao Pearl Market , Sunny Day Market next to the Lido.

Locals shop in the Xi Dan area, especially around the Tianyi Market.

Other markets include Jin Wu Xing (Five Gold Star) near Da Zhong Si Temple. Get off the Da Zhong Si subway stop on Line 13 and walk back to the market. There’s another branch nearby . . . it’s on the 319 bus line.

The Wu Dao Kou Clothing Market at Xue Yuan Lu is a good market as well.

Bargain, bargain, bargain. You won’t find a large store like Big Lots, but you’ll find stalls and small shops where you can find what you need.
